Three more books this week. One for grown-ups, SLOW DANCING ON PRICE'S PIER (368 pages), and two great nonfiction ones for kids:
Bootleg: Murder, Moonshine, and the Lawless Years of Prohibition by Karen Blumenthal
The Great and Only Barnum: The Tremendous, Stupendous Life of Showman P. T. Barnum by Candace FlemingIn fact, if you are running out of things that are "good" to read this summer, head over to the biography section of the library the next time you are there. There are TONS of fascinating stories (ever heard the saying "the truth is stranger than fiction"?). Here are a few others that have caught my eye.
