Oops, I forgot to post! Or . . . where did this week go?

I guess I was so busy reading and writing (and reorganizing my office) I forgot to post here.

Three more books this week. One for grown-ups, SLOW DANCING ON PRICE'S PIER (368 pages), and two great nonfiction ones for kids:

Bootleg: Murder, Moonshine, and the Lawless Years of ProhibitionBootleg: Murder, Moonshine, and the Lawless Years of Prohibition by Karen Blumenthal

The Great and Only Barnum: The Tremendous, Stupendous Life of Showman P. T. BarnumThe Great and Only Barnum: The Tremendous, Stupendous Life of Showman P. T. Barnum by Candace Fleming

In fact, if you are running out of things that are "good" to read this summer, head over to the biography section of the library the next time you are there. There are TONS of fascinating stories (ever heard the saying "the truth is stranger than fiction"?). Here are a few others that have caught my eye.

The Trouble Begins at 8 A Life of Mark Twain in the Wild, Wild West     Almost Astronauts 13 Women Who Dared to Dream     Ain't Nothing but a Man My Quest to Find the Real John Henry     Nurse, Soldier, Spy The Story of Sarah Edmonds, a Civil War Hero     Amelia Lost     How They Croaked The Awful Ends of the Awfully Famous
